The easiest cookies you’ll ever make…Nutella cookies

Seriously, when I say these are the easiest (bakeable) cookies you’ll ever make, I’m not joking.  Want to see the ingredient list?  Flour, sugar, Nutella, egg.  Yes, that’s right, there are only four ingredients to these scrumptious cookies.

I should start this out by saying I’m not a huge fan of Nutella.  I had been seeing it make the rounds on lots of food blogs – showing up in every kind of dessert!  I never bothered to try it though.  My husband finally heard about it from one of his professors and really wanted to try it.  So one day when he was at the store with me, we bought some Nutella. (Read: I always end up buying a lot of things that are NOT on my list when my husband comes grocery shopping with me!)

He loved it, but I think I would just prefer a chocolate spread.  I can’t seem to get into the hazelnut flavor.  However, with that being said, I decided to make these cookies for dessert one day because they are just so darned easy.

…and low and behold, I actually liked them!  I love the chewy, brownie-like texture in these cookies.  I can almost imagine I’m eating a chocolate brownie cookie.  Because I’m all about the brownies.  And the chocolate.

Anyway, the hubby absolutely loved them.  I don’t think I can go wrong where he and Nutella are concerned.  These cookies may have to become a regular treat around our house.  I mean, who doesn’t love a dessert that takes slightly over 10 minutes to make, including the baking time??

4 Ingredient Nutella Cookies
Source: Liz @ Blog is the New Black
Yield: 20 cookies
1 cup Nutella
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 egg
1 Tablespoon water, if needed (I think I added closer to 1 1/2 Tbsp)

1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl until well mixed.
2. Form into balls and place on a greased cookie sheet. (Or use a baking mat/parchment paper)
3. Bake in a preheated oven at 350° for 8-9 minutes or until done. (Mine still looked a little soft in the center when I pulled them out, but when they cooled they tasted like a thin Nutella brownie in the center!)
