Well, sort of. I haven’t decided how often I’ll post, but it probably won’t be twice a week like I used to. I think I’m going to be on a kind of on a post when I feel like it schedule for now. Hopefully you can stick with me through this.
As for my exciting news….
…drum roll please…
I’m pregnant and expecting our second child this summer!
While I know that this does not account for my extremely extended absence from my blog, it was the start of it. During the first trimester, I didn’t feel like doing anything, let alone cooking or eating. Once I finally moved past that stage, I was a little apathetic as to whether or not I even wanted to start blogging again. Sometimes it can seem like a chore, and I didn’t want it to be like that. So I decided that the best compromise would be to just blog when I felt like.
Until now, I haven’t felt like it. But that changed today when I decided to photograph our meal, and I remembered how much I actually enjoy blogging. Plus, food is just about the only thing on my mind right now, so I’m always cooking or eating something. (Besides, of course, my preoccupation with trying to figure out the gender of this child. So glad we find out this week.) I think I’ve probably had at least a dozen of these cinnamon rolls lately!
As for my other announcement, I’m sure you’ve noticed that things have been a little different around here lately (and no, I’m not referring to my extended absence). I had the blog redesigned and overall was pretty happy with my designer. However, I was supposed to have switched over to a new email service and that never happened.
I will be working on getting my email service switched over to MailChimp as soon as possible. So, if you notice my emails look a little different than usual, it just means that I’ve switched over to MailChimp. (As an aside, if you know anyone that would be willing to redirect my email from feedburner to MailChimp for an affordable price, please let me know!)
Thanks, and I can’t wait to start cooking with you again!
